Short version: we don’t sell your data. Long version is below, in plain English.

What we collect

When you sign up as a creator or reactor we ask for your name and email. When you upload something to react to, that upload lives on our servers until you delete it. Reactors record videos on their phones and send them to us.

Our servers also see standard technical bits: your IP address, device, browser, and rough location (country / city level, from IP). We use small cookies to keep you logged in.

Why we collect it

So the app works. Your email is how we send you your reactions and log you back in. Uploads are stored so reactors can watch them. Reactions are stored so you can watch them. Rough location helps match reactors to the audience you picked.

Who we share it with (basically nobody)

We don’t sell your data. We don’t run third-party ad trackers. The only services that touch your data are the ones we need to run the app: our hosting provider (Google Cloud / Vercel), our payment processor (Stripe), and our email sender. That’s it.

How long we keep it

Uploads and reactions stay until you delete them, or 24 months after your last sign-in, whichever comes first. Account details (name, email) stay while your account is open. Delete your account and we wipe them within 30 days.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export, or delete any data we hold on you. Under UK / EU law you also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. Email us — no forms, no hoops.

Kids

firstreactions is for people 16 and over. If you’re under 16, don’t sign up. If we find out an account belongs to someone under 16 we close it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we’ll email everyone with an account before the change takes effect. Small wording tidy-ups get the date bumped at the top of this page and nothing more.
